Our Story

Intentionally crafted candles for magic and devotion or house & home. Each Lovi Artes candle is hand poured and hand painted, unique in its creation. At Lovi we seek to cultivate that inner fire, the dancing flame to provide the ultimate focus and inspiration for your works.

Born out of spirit and bone, LOVI ARTES is the honoring connection and legacy. Lovi is a Finno- Ugric word that means “notch” or “v-shaped cleft” but this word’s usage runs even deeper into its ties of trance and magic. The term “Langeta loveen” means to “fall into trance” “a falling through the floor” that a tietäjä/ noita would experience. This experience sits very closely to how we interact with our magic and our ancestors. Our name is a nod to them in reverence for they had such a sweeping presence in the creation of this company.
